Arroz Caldo



  1. uncooked rice
  2. chicken (cut into small portions)
  3. ginger
  4. garlic
  5. onion
  6. ground black pepper
  7. fish sauce
  8. green onions
  9. safflower
  10. water
  11. tofu
  12. hard boiled eggs
  13. chicken cube
  14. cooking oil


  1. Heat cooking oil in a pot then saute onion, garlic and ginger.
  2. Add the chicken cube and ground black pepper.
  3. Put the chicken, saute until it produces some water and the chicken turns light brown.
  4. Add the fish sauce and uncooked rice, mix and cook for few minutes.
  5. Pour in the water. Bring to a boil.
  6. Occasionally stir it and once the rice is cooked, add the safflower.
  7. Put in the hard boiled egg.
  8. Serve with toasted garlic, green onions and fried tofu. Enjoy!
